In combining the versatility of the Rapid MFR, the vast number of shots of the Rapid MkII and adding some impressive new features, we have created the S-Type.
The scalloped loading port of the Rapid MFR was a simple idea and was well-received as it allows three methods of loading; manual loading direct into the breech, using the single shot holder and finally using one of our patented multi-shot magazines making the MFR very versatile. So we have carried this popular feature over in the design of the S-Type
The regulator, fitted to both 12ft/lbs and FAC versions, has been ameliorated, making it much more consistent than previous versions. With this much improved airflow and choosing the 500cc (400cc also available) buddy bottle we are able to produce a massive 700 shots per charge in .22 calibre at 12ft/lbs. Even more reasuring is the inclusion of our new internal air particle filter to prevent debris passing through the high pressure air spaces to give maximum reliability. We are so proud of the S-Type we are happy to give a 3-year warranty.
Due to popular demand, the S-Type is the first model of Rapid that comes complete with a bi-pod. We found that using a barrel or bottle mounted bi-pod can cause adverse effects with accuracy (which defeats the object of using such a device!) So we have recessed an accessory rail into to the fore-end of the Walnut stock. This descreet gismo can be used for the Deluxe Harris Bi-pod (pictured) which is supplied with this model or our quick detachable sling swivel, which can be purchased seperately.
